Yes, we are approved to teach every course on our website by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training.
The course assignments are broken down by chapters, for example; Read Chapter 1, Answer the discussion questions and reply to another student, Complete the quiz. Each course has a midterm exam and a final exam. Some courses have course projects.
Yes, none of the assignments are due until the student’s 30th day of enrollment. We feel this gives students the flexibility they need for their busy schedules. We know that life happens once in a while so, if the student needs some extra time beyond the 30th day of enrollment it is typically granted within reason.
We have “Open Enrollment”. Students can enroll whenever they are ready.
Yes, there is a required textbook for every course. We suggest you obtain the textbook before enrolling. A good place to look for a used book is; GetTextbooks.com. The required textbooks are in the course descripton.
The cost of the 45-hour courses is $150. We do offer discounts when you enroll in a series; Fire Officer I, Fire Officer II and Inspector I and give you a Review course for Free.
Yes, the assignments are graded on the 1st or 2nd day of every month. Once, the student has completed the course he/she will receive a certificate by email and their grade will be posted in FCDICE on the Fire College website. If a student needs their grade posted or the certificate emailed sooner then the 1st of the month then, we can accommodate that for them.
